Each piece of gjenmi jewelry is handcrafted and requires delicate handling. Here’s how to help it last beautifully:

WEAR

• Remove jewelry before activities that can cause impact, friction or exposure to harsh chemicals
• Keep pieces away from heat, oils and liquids to maintain their shine
• Extra care is needed for emeralds, pearls and opals—these delicate stones can be sensitive to moisture, oils and changes in environment resulting in changes in color, texture and/or luster.

CLEANING & MAINTENANCE

• Clean solid gold jewelry gently with a soft toothbrush and diluted mild dish soap
• We recommend a professional prong check and deep cleaning once a year to keep your jewelry secure and sparkling

STORAGE

• Wipe each piece with a jewelry cloth before storing
• Store in a sealed jewelry bag or box to prevent dust, oxidation and tangling

Our Herringbone and NY Box chains are delicate styles that require special care. Avoid twisting, bending or adding pendants, as these can cause permanent dents or breakage that cannot be repaired.

We recommend removing your chain before sleeping, showering, exercising, or engaging in any activity that could put stress on the links.

To preserve its shape, always store your Herringbone chain flat in a jewelry box or in the original packaging.

How To Wear Gjenmi Threaders

1. Open by twisting the front counter-clockwise
2. Insert the backing from the back of your ear
3. Holding the backing of the threader, screw in the front clockwise until tight

We recommend regularly tightening your threaders for security. Remember, righty-tighty, left-loosey! Do not attempt to pull apart or push together threaders.

14k gold jewelry can tarnish over time when exposed to oils from our skin, harsh chemicals, sweat or even from certain elements present in the air. (Rare, but it happens!)

Discoloration should be easily removed with a jewelry polishing cloth or by cleaning with warm water, mild soap and a (new/unused) soft bristled tooth brush.

We offer a 6 month limited warranty for pieces purchased at Gjenmi Studio or gjenmi.com covering any damages due to manufacturing defects (as determined by our studio).

The following types of damages are NOT covered as they are considered normal wear and tear or damage from neglect/abuse; repair and shipping fees will apply to: broken chains or clasps, bent bands, scratches, tarnishing (see Jewelry Care). Herringbone and NY Box chains/bracelets are delicate by nature and cannot be repaired.
